Louisa Jane Francis is a surface pattern designer and illustrator based in Newtownards, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom. With a qualification in Surface Pattern Design from Ulster University, she combines creative storytelling with a strong understanding of color, composition, and textile application. Inspired by florals, nature, and expressive color palettes, Louisa creates richly layered patterns and illustrations designed to bring personality, warmth, and joy into everyday spaces. Her work often transforms textiles into bold visual statements, balancing decorative detail with contemporary elegance. A self-described maximalist, Louisa is especially passionate about creating luxurious surface designs for interiors and textiles, including opulent velvet cushions and decorative home pieces. Through her vibrant artistic language, she aims to enrich homes and public spaces with color, texture, and expressive design.
