Park Ju Kyong is a South Korea-based conceptual artist whose work explores the lives and identities of urban dwellers. With 27 solo exhibitions and numerous awards, including the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award, Park blends abstraction and figuration to capture the dynamic essence of modern city life. Park’s creations, spanning oil and acrylic paintings, fabric objects, and more, emphasize the individuality and anonymity of urban crowds. Recent works focus on the movement of city dwellers, incorporating optical illusions and segmented compositions to create three-dimensional effects that invite viewers into a fantastical world. A graduate of Sangmyong University, with studies in Russia and France, Park’s art is featured in prestigious collections like the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art and Seoul City Hall. As a leader in the art community, Park serves as Director of the Korea Art Association and Vice Chairman of the Public Servant Art Association of Korea
